Tecolote pequeño de tierras bajas tropicales, ampliamente distribuido y generalmente común, suele verse y escucharse durante el día. Prefiere bosques tropicales abiertos y sus bordes, vegetación secundaria con árboles (incluyendo parques en pueblos y ciudades) así como pastizales con pinos. A veces se puede encontrar debido a silbidos persistentes o a una parvada de aves pequeñas que lo acosan mientras percha, ya sea en una rama abierta o dentro del follaje. Su color varía de canela a grisáceo en general, aunque todas las variaciones tienen un barrado blanco muy fino en la corona (no son puntos) y muchas barras oscuras delgadas en la cola.

It needs some time to be able to hear itself, I suppose there could be some sound that the camera does not hear
I forgot to consider the camera lens may have to zoom in a lot. Silly me in OP comment assumed the camera was physically that close to the bird. Gee, did you know that some sounds are harder to capture when you're far away? xD
